About The Project
“It is not genius, nor glory, nor love that reflects the greatness of the human soul; it is kindness.”
– Henri-Dominique Lacordaire
Kindness is all around us. All we need to do is look for it.
It seems that all we hear is bad news. Is that really all that’s going on? We think not! We are on a mission to collect as many stories of kindness as possible, and we need your help. Has someone done something kind for you? Or can you find some evidence of kindness in your world? What about in the news, online? Kind people, kind animals? We want to see it all. Send us a note, a video, a link. If you have no camera we can help you tell your story.
Kindness the Movie is a groundbreaking documentary project in which people are invited to share true stories of kindness received , observed or discovered. Even as you read this, volunteers are collecting interviews, searching the streets and trawling the net for stories of kindness. The most compelling stories will be featured on this website and will be considered for inclusion in the upcoming documentary film Kindness.
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED
Our Video Contest brought in lots of amazing videos and judges are getting ready to announce the winners! But we are still collecting stories for the film. Do you have a true story of kindness to share? Have you seen a story in the media or a video that shows some kindness in the world? Drop us a line and let us know! We’d love to consider it for inclusion in the film. How many pieces of evidence can you find of kindness? Challenge yourself! You may find it’s a lot of fun.
The goal of this project is to celebrate kindness in our world. We want to create an opportunity for people to look for evidence of kindness, from the simplest acts to the most profound. Kindness is actually not rare – we can find it everywhere, in every culture, in every form. Often we just don’t notice it. So what would happen if people started paying attention to kindness? Celebrating kindness in all its forms? What would that mean in our world? A world of kindness? It’s a radical idea, we know, and that’s what we have in mind. We want to create a kindness revolution, and you’re invited to be a part of it. Are you in?
